Submitted 7/29/2010 in Announcements

Today we introduced a new server to our “family”, the server is known as Wallen, and located in the Netherlands
Wallen will be running as a test link for 14 days, and if all goes well, the idea is to let it replace one of our two UK servers (fergie.live2k.com)

The address for Wallen will be wallen.live2k.com. Connections are available on port 6666, 6667, 6668, 6669 and port 6697 for SSL.

- KVIrc

How does an IRC client work?

Below is a guide to help you get started, the guide is based of KVIrc 4.0

First download and install KVIrc

When you launch KVIrc for the first time you'll will have to go trough 5 steps to help you configure KVIrc, it's quite simple and takes less then 30 sec. Once that is done, you need to add Live2K irc, to the list of servers, and here is how to.

Click Settings -> Configure servers (OR ctrl +s )

This will bring up the "servers" dialog (see figure 1)
Click on "New Network" and a network called "New Network" is created
Rename this to Live2K in the Network: dialog box.
Now right click the network called "New Network (It will change to Live2K once you do this) and choose "New Server"

Now a New server has been added to the Live2K network. This server is called "irc.unknown.net" rename it to irc.live2k.com and click OK

Now all that's left to do is click the connect button (Top left corner) and you'll be connected to Live2K IRC.
